Music confirmed for all 3 days

Beer Festival KnightWe have now finalised all the music for this years beer festival and you can find a list of bands on the music page.

Please remember we don’t charge entry to see these bands and they continue to support the beer festival each year with many bands volunteering to play for free.

We are excited to welcome bands playing here for the first time this year ( St Claire, Priceless, NOVA, Viana Bay, Dodobones, The streamline 55’s, Said the Maiden)  as well as some regulars and old favourites.

Friday sees the return of Our Friends Electric. On Saturday the SG’s will return to play songs from their latest album Rise Up and on Sunday we have JOANovARC back again in a special line up with Krysthla’s drummer Mick Plews.

On Sunday, we have the award-winning folk band, Said the Maiden playing early afternoon and we welcome back the spectacular Cambridge act, 4th Labyrinth and we bring the festival to a close with The Fifth Wheel and their unique set of rock n roll and banter.

We were overwhelmed again by the number of bands asking to play at this year’s festival and offer apologies to any bands that we couldn’t squeeze in this year. It is always humbling to have so many requests.

See you on the 4th May.

Cheers!

Stuart

Friday Music Line Up Confirmed

Beer Festival KnightFriday night’s music line up has been confirmed and we are excited to bring you three very different acts.  We will be adding a full music events page but here is the line up so far:

St Clair  7pm – 8pm

Local folk indie band St Clair make their debut at the beer the festival by kicking off the music line up for this year.

Priceless  8.30pm – 9.30pm

Another new band for the beer festival. Expect an eclectic mix of some well-known and some more unusual covers.

Our Friends Electric 10pm – 11pm

Back again for their third appearance. If you like electronic music from the 80’s then don’t miss this set.

We will be posting Sat and Sunday lineups as soon as we have confirmed the last few acts.

Bands Confirmed

Beer Festival KnightWe have pretty much sorted out bands for this years festival although there can always be late changes to line ups. A big thanks to all bands who approached us about performing at this years festival, but who we were unable to include in this years line up.

Balstock will be providing additional music in the acoustic tent. As always come and support these acts as well. They represent just some of the great musical talent in the area and when you are there chuck some money in the Balstock buckets it is directly helping to fund this years Balstock!

We have picked the beers and ciders though until orders are confirmed we cannot let you know what they are!

Lastly, but not least we have applied to be a Charitable Incorporated Organisation this year and we hope to have Charitable status ASAP. We will keep you posted as to progress!

Only a few weeks to go now so see you soon!

Cheers

Festival Update

Beer Festival KnightWe had a meeting of the beer festival committee on Monday and things are progressing nicely. Dave has been working hard with a group of us to choose the foreign beers for this years festival and they have all been ordered. We will get a list up on this site as soon as we can.

Food stalls have been booked and will include the usual fare (Indian, West Indian, BBQ) plus ice cream and sweets on Saturday and Sunday for the kids.

Thanks to all bands that have asked if they can play at the festival. We are finalising the bands and will be contacting you as and when we can but unfortunately we will not be able to slot everybody in this year.

Ciders are currently being selected by Paul and Gayle and will be locally produced. We will publish lists as soon as we get them.

We will be selecting ales later in the month so watch this space.

That just about sums up where we are at the moment. See you all soon.

Cheers
